Guercino drawings at the British Museum

Drawings by Guercino (1591-1666) are abundant in many museums, yet for me the excitement is undiminished every time a new group heaves into view. These from the British Museum were mostly purchased by English connoisseurs in Italy during the 18th century and then donated or sold to the great London repository of everything during the 19th century.
