Public Posts

The City of San Francisco has been remodeling the commercial stretch of Valencia Street in the Mission (their description of the project is here).

Part of the project involved undergrounding wires. A few chopped-off remnants of the old telephone poles have been preserved, and topped with little Victorian houses – as an authorized place to post the fliers that get posted everywhere.

Now surrounding the Public Post poles is this new, hipster-inspired pavement.
